The Dental Assistant acts as an advocate for the patient to see that all therapies are completed and patients have a pleasant dental experience. The Dental Assistant possess the everpresent eyes, ears, and hands to support the dentist.

*kind of interesting note: Dottie received the Robin Almsberger award from JCCC Dental Hygiene School...Robin was my first hygienist and I was her first hygiene dentist!
Hygienists perform preventive care including cleaning, scaling and root planing (gum treatments) and apply fluoride to strengthen enamel and dentin.
